BARCELONA, Spain – To accelerate its ability to connect the next billion people to the Internet, Nokia today launched additional services and three models Asha family of phones – Nokia Asha 202, Asha 203 and Asha 302, at Mobile World Congress.
Designed to provide a variety of affordable mobile experiences, new offers are aimed at three dimensions: Working with Mail for Exchange support for the Nokia Asha 302, Learning with new information services for young consumers, urban and a browser cloud-based quick reducing Internet access costs, and Game, free EA games available on the Nokia Asha 202 and Asha 203.
“Since we outline a new strategy a year ago, we have taken important steps to deliver results,” said Mary T. McDowell, Nokia’s executive vice president for mobile phones. “We’ve been connecting the next billion people to the mobile world and its benefits through contemporary mobile phone and Internet services. Today, we are taking another step in that direction, with a compelling combination of intelligent mobile devices full of innovative services. ”

 Nokia Life benefiting 50 million users
Nokia also announced an evolution of Nokia Life Tools, Nokia Life, which provides information for a better life in the entire product range of Nokia Series 30 and Series 40. Now with additional relevant services, social elements and cleaner, is available first on Nokia phones Asha 202 and Asha 203. Since its launch in 2009 in India, SMS service has expanded to China, Indonesia and Nigeria. To date, over 50 million people have experienced its benefits.
Nokia Life delivers content in the areas of parenting, life skills, education, health, entertainment and agriculture. For example, Nokia Life can help parents to focus on the growing needs of physical, emotional and social development of their children, from birth through adolescence. People can also learn English through basic communications and enjoy SMS tones, sports news and curiosities.

The Nokia Asha family has expanded rapidly since its debut, just four months ago, with four devices presented at Nokia World 2011. It is available in more than 100 markets worldwide and will be complemented by three devices announced today.
Phones Asha 202 and 203 are characterized by the combination of a traditional keyboard with a 2.4 inch touch screen, ideal for browsing, scrolling and opening apps. The phone presents Asha 202 Dual SIM Easy Swap technology with dedicated SIM manager to personalize your phone and save up to five SIM cards with unique information. Both devices come with a 2 mega pixel camera, music player, FM radio, Nokia Browser and Bluetooth connectivity. They can work with memory cards up to 32 GB. Estimated price for retail for about € 60, excluding taxes and subsidies. Sales of both are expected to begin in the second quarter of 2012.

Nokia and EA have partnered on innovative ways to bring the games to the next billion. The Nokia Asha 202 and 203 will be the first Series 40 device to offer EA games. With a 60-day promotion at Nokia Store, the separate cost of € 75 a pack of 40 EA games – including popular titles like Tetris, Need for Speed, The Run and Bejeweled – will not be charged to buyers of any of the two models.

The Nokia Asha 302 is the first phone from Nokia Series 40 supports Mail for Exchange and that allows people to access their email, contacts and calendars on an Exchange server. That feature and a stylish QWERTY keyboard make it the ideal phone for young entrepreneurs and professionals looking for a phone with a beautiful design. In addition, the Nokia Asha connects to popular social networks and lets you chat via Whatsapp and other instant messaging services. The Nokia Asha 302 is powered by a 1GHz processor and works at data rates of 3.5 G. It will be available for about € 95.
